This December, HAT presents the world premiere of Aladdin, a tale of mystery, intrigue, skullduggery, romance and a dancing camel.
The world’s greatest sorcerer, Abanazar, seeks even more power and is told by the Genie of the Ring that he must find a magic lamp hidden in a cave of treasures. The snag is that he must also find an urchin called Aladdin Twanky to retrieve it.
Meanwhile, Aladdin is in love with Princess Jasmine, who is desperate to avoid an arranged marriage to the slimy Vizier. But times are hard in the Twanky household as Aladdin’s mum and his brother Wishee Washee struggle to make ends meet
So when Abanazar turns up with the promise of riches, Aladdin is quick to agree to the sorcerer’s request for help.
Prepare to meet the Genie of the Lamp, who seems to have put on a bit of weight, laugh at the comedy policemen, boo at the nasty Abanazar, marvel at the magic carpet as it flies around the hall and cheer as our brave heroes set out to rescue the kidnapped princess.
